Art of Combat

Fight Choreography & Tactical Training

Beyond
Martial Arts

The ability to fight does not come from Rank, Style, or Title.  It comes from the passion to train, aspire, overcome fear, and discover your own way.  Only then, will you unleash your own Art of Combat.

Art of Combat

Combat is wild, unpredictable, and spontaneous.

You must develop instinct, overcome fear and doubt, and unleash your arsenal to it’s full capacity.  Memorizing forms or scoring points only inhibits your ability to fight.  When the fight is true, there are no rules, no referees, no time outs… there is only survival, and your ability to adapt spontaneously.

During training… you will be tested both physically and mentally. You will be hit. You will feel pain. Your ego will be damaged. I have no time to waste with those who waste my time. If you want to train, then I welcome the company, otherwise I’ll continue to train alone.

.

No Rank No Title

Rank, Status, and Title mean nothing.  Let go of your ego.

Pure training is not about rank or status, it is about discovery of your full potential. It’s freedom from the limitations of traditional thinking.  There is nothing here for us to hide behind. No lies, no ego, no false pretenses.  There is only you and your opponent(s).

“TITLE” is something you earn by defeating someone weaker than you.

Look in the mirror… THAT is your only competition.

Evolve and Discover

I’m not here to change your mind or fill you with ideas.

If you train with me, then you already know what is missing in your style, or at least realize something’s missing, and you are not satisfied.

We are not sheep.  We don’t blindly follow the herd. Outcast by others, we don’t belong in their martial world of “follow the leader” and “expensive worthless black belts”.  Keep  your trophies, your katas, your traditions… they have no value.  For those with courage to fight, congrats… However, being able to take a punch, doesn’t make one a great fighter.  Beyond “toughness”, there must be talent.

Beyond martial arts… we discover our true inner warrior.

.

Being More
Than a Martial Artist

We all follow our own path.  I am not here to convince you of anything or to ask you to join me…
I am here to train.

If you are like me, then you are searching for more.  You are searching for answers never found in any “McDojo” or “MMA” gym.  Here, Rank or Title does not apply.  Style is something you discover and create, not imitate.

Martial Arts training is an internal search, and through exhausting, intense, and consistent training, it is about discovery.

For over 20 years, I taught anyone from children, to adults, from recreational hobbyists, to serious fighters.  Those years are now behind me.  What I do now, I do for myself.

I train for myself.  I train because I love it.  Over my lifetime, I have acquired a level of skill which I share with anyone serious and passionate about their training.  If you are searching for more in your training, then I will share my time with you.

This is not my job, instead it is my passion.  If you step into training with me, then I expect you train.  I expect you to push yourself, to overcome fear, and discover your fighting style.  If you are dedicated, I will train with you… if not, then we share nothing in common, and we may simply part ways as friends, and travel our own separate paths.

Art of Combat
Nathan Grey

Fight Choreographer | Martial Arts Trainer | Stunt Actor

My name is Nathan Grey. I’ve spent nearly my entire life studying martial arts and my passion for film. I’ve been a fighter and a trainer, and now I take my experience and passion for the Art of Combat into cinema, and I create Fight Choreography that belongs to the film and the characters.

Whether your passion is combative martial arts in its truest and most beautiful form, or stunt acting for film and TV, I hope our paths cross someday. The artist walks a lonely road through life, it is a rare pleasure to share this path with others who share this passion.

My signature title for demonstrating the various styles of combat I create is “RELENTLESS”. More than a film, it’s a series of portfolio short films, featuring Parkour, Martial Arts, Visual FX, Tactical Combat, Gunfire, Science Fiction Weapons, Magic, and Extreme Cinematography.

RELENTLESS wouldn’t be possible without the talent of Alex Mishun, James Bast, Mike Jones, Tom Schmidt, Nathan Lowe, Jarrod Crooks, and the variety of massive talent we include in our productions. Enjoy!

More content is on its way, as we’re currently in pre-production for “RELENTLESS: The Art of Combat”. More than a sequel, this will be a series of 6 short films, linked together in a common story, all with completely different visuals, fight choreography, environments, and various portrayals of our characters.
